9/24/24 – Mazeppa Trail Meeting Minutes

Meeting with

-Steve Drazkowski (State Senator)

-Mark Schoenfelder (Transportation District Engineer)

-Heather Lukes (Assistant District Engineer – Program Support) MnDOT District 6

1. Discussed grant options. We were informed of 4 different options available to us.   Heather Lukes was going to reach out for contacts/information for the funding options.
   1. Safe Routes to School (SRTS) – MnDOT
   2. Active Transportation (AT) – MnDOT
   3. Local Partnership Program – MnDOT
   4. Transportation Alternatives – Federal
2. Discussed possibility of a dynamic speed warning sign on east section of Hwy 60. In addition, we inquired about potentially removing the bypass lane that was left over from the Cherry St./Hwy 60 project a few years back
   1. Heather Lukes is going to investigate further into this option.
